Founded in 1930, JSC Giprotyazhmash Institute for General Design of Heavy Engineering and Transport Equipment Plants has been, for the past 89 years, engaged in the development of integrated design documentation for construction of heavy engineering, transport equipment and power engineering equipment enterprises.
Over its history, the Institute has implemented over 500 projects of various scales both across the former USSR and modern Russia and all over the world, including countries such as China, Poland, Hungary, Yugoslavia, India, Iran, Bulgaria and Cuba.
In modern times, the major customers of JSC Giprotyazhmash include JSC Russian Railways and its subsidiaries, underground railway companies of Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia’s largest holding in the transport equipment manufacturing industry JSC Transmashholding, and individual enterprises of Rostec State Corporation.
